Vera comes to the cage accompanied by Black Eyed Peas - Bebot. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mapompo thuds his right hand into Vera's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Vera with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Mapompo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vera sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Vera closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Vera is struggling to control the position.
Vera prevents Mapompo from breaking the clinch.
Mapompo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Vera looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
A chopping leg kick lands by Vera.
Vera drops Mapompo with a beautiful combination! Mapompo stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Vera is looking for the KO!
It looks like George Mapompo has been cut.

Vera looks for the body kick but Mapompo saw that one coming.
Vera lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Vera rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mapompo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Vera fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mapompo, pushing him back against the cage.

Vera scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

and Vera counters with a slapping leg kick.
Vera throws a head kick that misses.
Mapompo is breathing heavily.
Vera lands a left and a right that send Mapompo crashing to the mat, dazed. Vera thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Mapompo is rocked!
The cut above George Mapompo's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Vera darts in and clinches Mapompo up against the cage.
Mapompo is still on wobbly legs! Can Vera finish him?

Mapompo seems to have recovered his senses.
Vera lands a nice elbow.
George Mapompo's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at George Mapompo's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Michael Vera!
A pretty intense looking Michael Vera took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
