Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juntti misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

so Slammer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Juntti is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Juntti has eaten all the pies!
Juntti is looking for a triangle but Slammer pushes his legs off easily.
Slammer stays in close to Juntti's body and controls the position.

Juntti has his foot on Slammer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Slammer works his way back into a safe position though.

Slammer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Juntti looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

and Slammer counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Juntti's guard now.
Slammer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Juntti has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Slammer has managed to get both his arms back between Juntti's legs - danger averted.
