Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Dredd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zhelyazko Velilkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dredd might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Static X = Push it. Zhelyazko Velilkov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jake Dredd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Zhelyazko Velilkov! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dredd tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Velilkov swivels and escapes. Velilkov moves in looking to clinch but Dredd pushes him off. Dredd shoots for a double leg takedown but Velilkov sprawls well. He's pushed Dredd's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Velilkov misses with a takedown and Dredd decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Velilkov's guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Dredd thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Velilkov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Dredd is aware though and is defending well. Dredd trying to control but Velilkov is working from the bottom. Dredd postures up.
Dredd will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Velilkov throws his legs up looking for a submission but Dredd uses it to pass to side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Velilkov is trying to improve his position. Dredd is trying to get an arm triangle but Velilkov is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Velilkov tries to get back to half guard but can't. Dredd is looking to take a break and control but Velilkov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dredd working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. You can see the frustration on Velilkov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Dredd tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dredd has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Dredd tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dredd thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Velilkov can't do much from the bottom here. Velilkov tries to bench press Dredd off him but Dredd keeps the position. Dredd thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Velilkov tries to escape but Dredd is in control. Dredd is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Velilkov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dredd has an Americana. Velilkov didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Dredd is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Dredd hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
