The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Columbo Gatti and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wainwright tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gerasimov paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Wainwright closes the distance and clinches.
Wainwright wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gerasimov blocks the elbow strike.
Wainwright wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gerasimov has him pressed against the cage.
Gerasimov slowing the pace effectively.
Wainwright tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gerasimov just stands there and leans against the cage.
Gerasimov lands a good knee to the midsection. Wainwright won't want to take too many of those.

Wainwright fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Wainwright avoiding damage as Gerasimov throws knees to the body.

It looks like Paul Wainwright has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wainwright lands with a short shot to the head.
Gerasimov tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Wainwright avoids it.
Wainwright avoiding damage as Gerasimov throws knees to the body.

Wainwright gets control of Gerasimov's arms and successfully pulls guard. Wainwright will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Gerasimov not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Wainwright not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gerasimov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wainwright swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gerasimov is looking to stand up but Wainwright won't let him.
Gerasimov stands and steps away. Wainwright gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Wainwright darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Gerasimov controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gerasimov is looking for a sweep. Wainwright is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Wainwright trying to control from half guard but Gerasimov is working away.
Gerasimov tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Wainwright tries to stand but can't do so whilst Gerasimov controls his leg.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gerasimov is staying active underneath Wainwright, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gerasimov won't allow Wainwright to pass to mount.
Gerasimov throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Gerasimov manages to escape and get back to his feet!
And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Alexandr Gerasimov.
I think Gerasimov has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
