Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cy Coe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Filip Suligoj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Coe might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Insane In The Membrane - Cypress Hill. Cy Coe could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Filip Suligoj's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cy Coe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Filip Suligoj!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suligoj fails in his attempt to clinch.
Suligoj closes the distance and clinches.
Coe blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Suligoj missing with knees to the body.
Suligoj tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Suligoj.
Coe blocks an uppercut.
Coe manages to break the clinch.
Suligoj tries to land a leg kick but Coe saw it coming and moves away.
Coe gets tackled into the cage by Suligoj. Suligoj maintains the clinch.

It looks like Cy Coe has been cut.
Suligoj putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Coe in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Suligoj tries to work over Coe's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Suligoj lands a right hand that snaps the head of Coe backwards.

Suligoj throws a punch but it's blocked by Coe.
Coe escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Suligoj moves in looking to clinch but Coe pushes him off.
Coe works Suligoj's body with a nice hook.

Suligoj misses with a punch on the inside.
Suligoj scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Coe ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Coe no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Coe working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Suligoj has passed into half guard!
Coe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coe is looking to control Suligoj's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Coe avoid being mounted?
Coe wants to get back to full guard.
Coe is not content to let Suligoj control the position.
Coe tries to roll over but Suligoj keeps him under control.
The fighters are battling for position here. Coe manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Coe wants to sweep here but Suligoj controlling him for the moment.

Coe is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Suligoj is aware though and is defending well.

Coe working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Suligoj doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Suligoj manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Coe looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Suligoj has picked Coe up and slammed him! Coe can't keep hold of the triangle and Suligoj manages to pass to side control!
Coe is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Suligoj really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Suligoj slows the pace down.
Suligoj wants to lay and pray for a moment but Coe keeps working.
Coe tries to buck Suligoj off but Suligoj is having none of it.
Coe looking for a sweep but Suligoj has passed into full mount! Oh no!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Coe tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Filip Suligoj will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Cy Coe's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Suligoj takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Filip Suligoj seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Coe lands a nice shot that snaps Suligoj's head back.
Suligoj moves away from the strike by Coe.
Coe chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Suligoj can pounce on him.
Suligoj tries to clinch but Coe is having none of it.
Coe fails to land with a series of punches.
Coe's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Suligoj connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Coe scrambles back to his feet.
Suligoj tries to close the distance and clinch up but Coe swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Coe looks to score with a jab to the body but Suligoj is just out of range.
A big left from Coe misses.
Suligoj tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Coe paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Coe counters with a three punch combo that has Suligoj backing up. Suligoj nods at Coe to acknowledge the strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Suligoj wants to clinch.
Suligoj tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Coe counters with a straight right hand.
Suligoj attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Coe slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Suligoj rushes Coe and presses him up against the cage.
Suligoj lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Suligoj stalling in the clinch but Coe improves position.
Suligoj swings wildly with an uppercut but Coe uses good head movement to avoid it.
Suligoj is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Suligoj pushes Coe back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Suligoj misses with a punch on the inside.
Coe takes a knee to the side of the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Suligoj is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Coe breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Suligoj connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Coe's hands.
Coe tries to land a leg kick but Suligoj saw it coming and moves away.
Suligoj rushes Coe with punches - Coe moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Coe goes down! Suligoj follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Filip Suligoj!
