Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kane Varas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Humphrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kane Varas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rocky Humphrey! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Humphrey is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Varas's half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Varas trying to control but Humphrey postures up.
Varas is trying to get back to full guard. Humphrey throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Nice strikes from Humphrey there. Varas tries to get to full guard but Humphrey has control of the leg. Varas taking some punishment here, with Humphrey in his half guard. Humphrey landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Humphrey lands with a punch from half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Humphrey slips a nice elbow through Varas's hands, connecting with Varas's forehead. Varas tries to get to full guard but Humphrey has control of the leg. Humphrey missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Humphrey looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Varas with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Humphrey takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Humphrey connects with a nice short shot to Varas's temple. Humphrey controlling the pace. Varas gets full guard. Humphrey tries to free his leg and advance position but Varas is retaining full guard. Humphrey stands up and waves to Varas to follow him. Varas is breathing heavily. Humphrey fails to land with a series of punches.
Varas tries for a takedown but Humphrey sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Varas tries to bum rush Humphrey with a series of wild strikes but Humphrey uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Varas gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Humphrey to score an easy takedown into full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Humphrey decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Varas, up you get!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Humphrey wants to clinch up but Varas keeps it at a distance. Varas tries to clinch there but Humphrey circles away.
Humphrey closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Varas to the mat! Varas manages to get full guard. Humphrey postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Varas keeping moving, preventing Humphrey from controlling successfully. Humphrey connects with a couple of short punches. Humphrey postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Humphrey controls from within his opponent's guard. Humphrey is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Humphrey's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Humphrey decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Humphrey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Humphrey engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Humphrey with a nice head shot there. Varas will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Humphrey keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Varas's head. Varas doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Humphrey stands up over Varas, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Humphrey distracts Varas with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Varas throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Humphrey scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Humphrey with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Humphrey working some strikes from top position. Humphrey keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Varas's head. Varas is looking to sweep but instead, Humphrey has passed into half guard.
Varas is looking for a sweep. Humphrey is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Humphrey seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Varas is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Humphrey tries to pass the half guard into mount. Varas knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rocky Humphrey dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Varas gets caught napping as Humphrey dives in and scores a takedown. Varas manages to retain guard. Humphrey landing with the ground and pound. Humphrey wants to control from the top but Varas keeps moving. Humphrey lands a couple of digs. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Humphrey's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Varas is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Humphrey looking to sit in guard and control but Varas gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Humphrey manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's one minute gone in the round. BOOM! Humphrey connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Varas sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Varas throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Humphrey wants to take a breather but Varas is having none of it. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Humphrey lands a nice short elbow. Humphrey wants to lay and pray for a moment but Varas keeps working. Varas has hold of Humphrey's hands but Humphrey slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Humphrey passes to full mount! Humphrey lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Humphrey is landing with some decent strikes but Varas is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Humphrey fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Varas is rocked! Humphrey lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Oh Varas is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Varas takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Varas is bucking up trying to escape but Humphrey cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Humphrey lands with some strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Humphrey lands a nice shot to the head. Oooooh, big shot lands for Humphrey! Varas is hurt baaadly! Humphrey is firing away with more strikes - Varas is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
