Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Victor Olsen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kenji Watanabe!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Reed Andrews and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olsen throws a shot from downtown. Watanabe moves away and avoids it.
Watanabe looks to score with a jab to the body but Olsen is just out of range.
Olsen throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Olsen checks the leg kick.
Olsen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Olsen lands in his opponent's guard.
Olsen works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Olsen has his foot on Watanabe's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Watanabe works his way back into a safe position though.
Olsen controls Watanabe momentarily but Watanabe frees himself.

Watanabe seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Olsen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Watanabe gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Olsen is trying to keep Watanabe in close.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Olsen misses with a wild combination.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Watanabe goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Olsen works Watanabe's body with a nice hook.

Olsen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Watanabe.
Olsen lands with an uppercut that bounces Watanabe off the cage and back into range.

Watanabe has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Watanabe there as he acknowledges the shot.
Watanabe avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Olsen takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Watanabe, as that shot connected.
Watanabe fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Olsen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Watanabe throws a half hearted mid kick.
Watanabe with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
An inside leg kick lands from Olsen.

A solid leg kick lands there for Olsen.
Nice takedown defense from Watanabe. No joy for Olsen on that attempt.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Olsen lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Watanabe has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Watanabe and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Olsen fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Watanabe to the ground. Olsen is now in Watanabe's guard.

Olsen is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Olsen has given up his back. Will we see Watanabe going for some submissions?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Olsen breaks Watanabe's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Olsen passes Watanabe's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Olsen is just content to waste time from the top position. Watanabe takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Olsen postures up in Watanabe's guard and throws a big left but Watanabe blocks it.
Olsen looking to sit in guard and control but Watanabe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Olsen is staying active underneath Watanabe, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Kenji Watanabe has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Watanabe punishes Olsen's body with a nice straight punch.
Olsen stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Watanabe.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Watanabe slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

and Watanabe counters with a good low kick that Olsen was not able to check.

Watanabe turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Olsen is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Olsen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Watanabe tries to avoid it but Olsen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Watanabe to the ground. Watanabe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Watanabe uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Olsen.
Watanabe tries to score with a low kick but Olsen moves his leg out of the way.
Nice defenses there by Olsen.
And that's the end of the fight!
Kenji Watanabe comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Olsen has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
