PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hill Billy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Carioca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Billy might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Die Mother Fucker Die. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Carioca.

Carioca tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Billy instigates a clinch.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Billy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Carioca rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Billy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Billy.
Carioca feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Billys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Carioca scores with a head kick. Billy tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Carioca moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Billy is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Carioca doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Billy.
Billy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carioca keeps working.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Billy throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Billy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Carioca's head.

A close round but Paulo Carioca will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Carioca moves into range and connects with a jab.
Billy shoots in but no luck this time.
Carioca scoring well with a low kick there.
Carioca lands with a kick to the temple. Billy shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Carioca throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Carioca throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Billy shoots in for a double leg but Carioca sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Billy shoots in looking for a takedown. Carioca tries to sprawl out of it but Billy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Carioca manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hill Billy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Carioca feints a jab promting Billy to slip. Carioca then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Billy slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Billy with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Carioca to score with a decent uppercut.

Carioca misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

A nice inside leg kick there by Carioca. That's going to slow Billy down.
Carioca throws a sloppy head kick and Billy moves out of range easily.
Carioca slaps away a takedown attempt from Billy, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Carioca throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Carioca throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Billy on the side of the head.

Carioca feints and then cracks Billy's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Billy down.
