Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rubin Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BB Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Carter might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bob Dylan - Hurricane. Man has chosen Beyonce's "Ring on it" as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice cross by Carter.
A solid leg kick lands there for Man.
Man swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Man moves away from the strike by Carter.
Man misses with a looping right.
Man ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Carter lands with a good body shot.
Carter looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Man delivers a nice body kick.

Carter scores with a hook to the body. Man takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Man tries to land a front kick but Carter steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Man throws a low kick, looking for Carter's leg but Carter calmly moves out of range.
Carter dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Man connects with a leg kick. Carter looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Man throws a solid leg kick but Carter takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Man.

Carter misses with a looping left.
Man on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Man pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Carter shoots in but Man avoids the takedown attempt easily.

letting Carter counter with a right hand.
Carter throws a looping overhand right but Man ducks down to avoid it.
Man attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

and Carter cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

A chopping leg kick lands by Man.
A head kick by Man misses
and Carter counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Carter finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Carter throws a hook but Man avoids it easily.
Man on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Man thows a body shot but no joy.
Carter catches Man with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Man throws a leg kick but Carter sees it coming and moves out of range.
A jab from Carter misses.
Man throws a hook but Carter blocks it.
Man lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Carter fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rubin Carter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Man throws a head kick but Carter moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but BB Man will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Man throws a right and a left that both miss.
An inside leg kick from Man misses.
A swing and a miss from Carter.
Man misses with a body kick.
Carter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Man tries to avoid it but Carter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Man to the ground. Man escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
BB Man seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Carter misses with a series of wild punches.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Carter shoots in for a takedown but Man shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Man.
Man throws a front kick aimed at Carter's knee but Carter avoids it well.
Man misses with an attempted mid kick.
Man looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Man tries a head kick but it misses.
Carter is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Carter throws a jab when Man was well out of range.
Man just misses with a punch to the body.
Carter jabs Man to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Man fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Man throws a wild body kick that Carter sees coming a mile off.
Carter moves out of range of the body kick.
Man throws a leg kick but Carter sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Carter takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Man cracks a nice hook into Carter's ribs.
Carter stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Man.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Man throws a series of strikes that have Carter backpedaling.

It looks like Rubin Carter has been cut.

Man misses with a kick to the body.
Man lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Man throws a quick inside leg kick.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Carter. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Man misses with a few strikes there.
Man with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Man lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Carter blocks a head kick by Man.
Carter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Man.
Carter misses with a hook.
Man will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Man pushes Carter away with a front kick.
BB Man is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Man lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

BB Man showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Carter is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Man lands a brutal head kick. Carter looks out on his feet and Man throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
