The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Illya Tyunina and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gabel throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Katchenko throws a lazy right hand but Gabel sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Gabel scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
It looks like Andrei Katchenko has been cut.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Gabel. Katchenko shrugs it off though.
A looping hook to the body misses from Katchenko. Gabel does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gabel goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Gabel tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Katchenko paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Andrei Katchenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice inside leg kick there by Gabel. That's going to slow Katchenko down.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gabel looks to land a body kick but Katchenko moved away.

Gabel moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Katchenko just misses with a punch to the body.
Gabel connects with a leg kick. Katchenko looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gabel dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Katchenko. That did some damage!

Katchenko gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Gabel gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Katchenko is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
