Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kingsley Nasir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kosty Badzenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kosty Badzenko will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kingsley Nasir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kosty Badzenko! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Badzenko looking for a takedown here - he's got it. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nasir is on top in guard.
Badzenko looking for a sweep. Not yet Badzenko, not yet. Badzenko trying to keep a closed guard but Nasir is proving a slippery customer.
Nasir forces his way into half guard. Badzenko is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Badzenko can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Badzenko is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Nasir jumps into side control! Nasir is looking to take a break and control but Badzenko is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nasir is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Nasir is chipping away with strikes.
Nasir cracks Badzenko with a big right hand but Badzenko just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Badzenko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nasir. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nasir is chipping away with strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action! Nasir trying to control the position but Badzenko is working away. Nasir is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Badzenko is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Nasir landing a few strikes. Nasir wants to lay and pray for a moment but Badzenko keeps working. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Badzenko is looking for a sweep. Badzenko on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Nasir in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Badzenko is pushing Nasir's head away, looking to escape. Nasir manages to hold on to the position though. Badzenko tries to improve position but can't. Badzenko on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Nasir is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Badzenko's shoulder. That is not cool. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nasir trying to control the position but Badzenko is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Badzenko is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Nasir is controlling him well. Badzenko is trying to control Nasir's posture but Nasir avoids it. Nasir wants to control but Badzenko is keeping him busy. Nasir has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Nasir working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Nasir lands a nice forearm strike. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Nasir landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kingsley Nasir dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Nasir throws a hook but Badzenko blocks it. Badzenko shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Nasir is controlling Badzenko's posture. Badzenko trying to stand up but can't free himself from Nasir's guard. Nasir manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Badzenko manages to get himself to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nasir with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Badzenko looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Nasir puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Nasir lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Nasir is trying to work for a kimura but Badzenko is defending well.
Nasir moves into full mount! Badzenko won't be happy about that! Badzenko is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Badzenko is bucking up trying to escape but Nasir cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Badzenko is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nasir lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Badzenko! Nasir sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Badzenko and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Kingsley Nasir!
