The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phenquier is looking to clinch.
Phenquier tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Phenquier really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Phenquier changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nightmare tries to avoid it but Phenquier manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nightmare to the ground. Nightmare escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nightmare dodges the punch combination from Phenquier.
Phenquier looks for a takedown but Nightmare sprawls well.
Phenquier fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gold Phenquier. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nightmare avoids a kick to the body.
Phenquier lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Phenquier tries to close the distance and clinch but Nightmare swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nightmare moves out of range of the leg kick from Phenquier.
Phenquier dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Nightmare. That did some damage!

Phenquier wants to stand up but Nightmare is controlling him.

Phenquier is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Nightmare is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Phenquier is keeping busy.

Nightmare escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Phenquier has a takedown stuffed.
Nightmare misses with a head kick.

Phenquier closes the distance but Nightmare moves to the side

and Nightmare counters with a nice double leg into side control. Phenquier won't be happy with that.
Phenquier is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Nightmare asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Nightmare stands up and beckons Phenquier to his feet.
Nightmare throws a head kick but Phenquier moves out of range.

Phenquier forces Nightmare back against the cage and clinches.

Phenquier manages to break the clinch.
Phenquier avoids the head kick by Nightmare.

Nightmare misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nightmare circles away from the clinch attempt.
Phenquier doesn't manage to clinch there - Nightmare circles away.

Phenquier throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nightmare's waist but Nightmare gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Phenquier off to one side.
