Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Widow Maker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dana Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maker's entrance music is Bodies Hit the Floor. A fine choice. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Widow Maker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dana Black! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Black paws at him with a jab and circles away. Maker wants to clinch. Maker tries to clinch up but Black circles away and keeps his distance. Maker fails with the takedown. Black swats away the attempt to clinch by Maker. Black shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Maker's guard. Maker can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Black controls the pace. Let's hope that Black has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Maker is looking for a triangle but Black pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Black showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Black advances to half guard. Black slows the pace down in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Maker tries to roll over but Black keeps him under control. Maker wants to control but Black is keeping busy and won't allow it. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Black in particular looking to stall. Black is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Maker actively working from the bottom here. Maker throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Black is controlling the pace.
Black's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Despite being in the dominant position, Dana Black just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Black closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Black is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Maker is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Black looks gassed! Black tries to advance to mount but Maker denies him. Black trying to control the position but Maker is working away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Black is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dana Black dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Black jumps guard but Maker stands there with Black around his waist. Black gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Black looking for a takedown. Widow Maker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dana Black. Black ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Black no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Black controlling Maker's posture. Black looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Black looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Black is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Black is thwarting Maker's attempts to control the position. Black wants to free his trapped foot but Maker is holding on for dear life with his legs. Black is figuring out what he wants to do next. Black moves nicely into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maker looking for a sweep but Black has passed into full mount! Oh no! Black is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Maker has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Maker is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Black is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Maker is surviving well by controlling Black's body position as best he can. Maker wants to control but Black is having none of it. Black prevents Maker from getting the reversal. Maker wants to try and get back to his feet. Maker can't escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Widow Maker dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Maker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Maker with a poor takedown and Black counters with a nice double leg into guard. Maker wants to sweep but no luck. Black stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maker swivels though and keeps the full guard. Black drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Maker manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Black has Maker in his guard. Maker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Black is proving hard to escape from. Black is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Black takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maker wants to pass the guard but Black is keeping the position. Maker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Black is proving hard to escape from. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Maker closes the distance looking to clinch and Black counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Maker's guard now. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Maker is on top in guard.
Black looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Black is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Black working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Maker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Maker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Black looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Black has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Maker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Black trying to keep a closed guard but Maker is proving a slippery customer.
Black has control of Maker's left arm, preventing Maker from doing any damage. Maker has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Maker pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Black is keeping the position for now. Black bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Maker's guard. Maker can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Black controls the pace. Maker had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Black is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Maker Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Black's back instead.
And that's the end of the fight! Dana Black comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Black has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
