Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jose Oquendo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Campbell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Campbell has chosen Steel Panther - Party all Day as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bruce Campbell!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oquendo moves into range and connects with a jab.
Campbell connects with a jab.
It looks like Jose Oquendo has been cut.
Oquendo scores with a jab to the body.
Nice body punch from Oquendo.
Campbell fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Oquendo checks it well.
Campbell moves out of range of the body kick from Oquendo.
Campbell slips under a jab.
Campbell takes a swing at Oquendo's ribcage but misses.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A right-left combo lands from Campbell.
Campbell avoids a punch combination nicely.
Oquendo keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Bruce Campbell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oquendo dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Campbell. That did some damage!
Campbell fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Oquendo checks it well.
Campbell closes this distance looking for a takedown but Oquendo circles away.

It looks like Bruce Campbell has been cut.
Campbell throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Oquendo.
Oquendo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
No luck for Campbell with that takedown attempt.
Oquendo cracks a nice hook into Campbell's ribs.

Campbell takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Oquendo scores with a decent looking hook.

Jose Oquendo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Campbell misses with a jab, cross combination.
Campbell is still on wobbly legs! Can Oquendo finish him?
Campbell takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Oquendo bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Campbell drops his hands momentarily and Oquendo needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Campbell just on the top of the head. Campbell drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Campbell - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jose Oquendo!

A relieved looking Jose Oquendo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
