Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Eric Lovett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chiba Yoshihiko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshihiko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Lovett gets a clinch.
Lovett tries to land knees in the clinch but Yoshihiko avoids the damage to the body.
Yoshihiko turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Yoshihiko manages to end up in side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Yoshihiko shoots in looking for a takedown. Lovett tries to sprawl out of it but Yoshihiko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lovett manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Eric Lovett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chiba Yoshihiko.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
