The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro misses with a wild combination.
Oath tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ribeiro manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Oath throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ribeiro.

and Oath counters with a right hand to the body.

Ribeiro throws a nice looking combination but Oath bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Oath connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Oath counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Oath is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

and Oath makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Gabriel Ribeiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ribeiro takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
That has opened up Gabriel Ribeiro's cut even more.

Oath stuns Ribeiro with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Oath has taken the fight to the clinch.

Ribeiro is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Oath to keep the fight standing.
Oath comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Gabriel Ribeiro's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Oath lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ribeiro backwards.
Oath scores a nice knee to the body.
Oath jerks Ribeiro's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Ribeiro drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Oath goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Oath because Ribeiro was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
