Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Abu Al Zarqawi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nyquil Salazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Salazar has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Abu Al Zarqawi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nyquil Salazar! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Salazar with that takedown attempt. Al Zarqawi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nyquil Salazar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Salazar fails with an attempt to clinch.
Al Zarqawi looking to score a takedown here. Salazar is defending well but Al Zarqawi drives through and ends up in Salazar's guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Salazar looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Salazar working a defensive guard here.

Salazar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Salazar being controlled here, momentarily.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Nyquil Salazar. Salazar is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salazar clinches up with Al Zarqawi and pushes him back against the ropes. Salazar lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Abu Al Zarqawi has been cut. Al Zarqawi trying to control the position but instead, Salazar has worked for underhooks and has pushed Al Zarqawi into the ropes. Al Zarqawi gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Salazar regains guard.
Salazar tries to land a sweep but no joy. Salazar lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Al Zarqawi! Salazar prevents Al Zarqawi from getting the reversal.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salazar punching from mount but Al Zarqawi doing a good job of avoiding damage. Al Zarqawi is in a horrible position here. Salazar smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Salazar lands a big shot there that rocks Al Zarqawi but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Abu Al Zarqawi's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Salazar working for a submission but Al Zarqawi is keeping him at bay. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Al Zarqawi is trying desperately to improve position. Salazar has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Salazar sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Poor strikes thrown by Salazar there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
