Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Salin Quadi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitor Beltord (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quadi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Tupac - Changes. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Salin Quadi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vitor Beltord! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quadi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Beltord lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Quadi circles away quickly and effectively. Beltord lands the left hand. Quadi shoots in but Beltord avoids the takedown attempt easily. Quadi gets tackled into the cage by Beltord. Beltord maintains the clinch. Quadi throws an elbow that misses.
Beltord tries to break free but Quadi pushes him back against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Beltord's face as he tries to break the clinch. Quadi is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Beltord gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Quadi is working Beltord over against the cage. Quadi decides to pull guard. Beltord got a little sloppy there for a moment and Quadi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Beltord has managed to get both his arms back between Quadi's legs - danger averted. Quadi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Beltord doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Beltord manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Beltord wants to stand but Quadi is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quadi pushes a forearm under Beltord's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Beltord is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
