Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lutz Knitter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mihail Dyuzev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Lutz Knitter has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Lutz Knitter seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lutz Knitter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mihail Dyuzev! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Fedor Mirinova and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knitter throws a jab when Dyuzev was well out of range. Dyuzev scores with a leg kick.
Dyuzev closes this distance looking for a takedown but Knitter circles away. Knitter uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dyuzev. Knitter showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dyuzev.
Knitter moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Knitter misses with a straight right. Dyuzev looks to land a body kick but Knitter moved away. Knitter moves out of range of the body kick. Dyuzev gets in close and instigates a clinch. Dyuzev can't get the takedown.

Knitter lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Dyuzev backwards. A short uppercut from Knitter. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Knitter struggles to land a body shot inside as Dyuzev controls his hands.

Dyuzev has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Knitter finds it's way round the side to connect with Dyuzev's head. Mihail Dyuzev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Knitter scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Dyuzev is looking to land body kicks.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dyuzev breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dyuzev looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Dyuzev takes one to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knitter is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Dyuzev throws a low kick but Knitter moves out of range easily. Dyuzev has closed the distance and engaged Knitter in a clinch.
Knitter tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Knitter has a couple of punches blocked by Dyuzev.
Dyuzev is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Knitter swings wildly with an uppercut but Dyuzev uses good head movement to avoid it. Knitter dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Knitter scores with an uppercut up the middle. Dyuzev goes for a takedown in the clinch but Knitter prevents it.

Knitter lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Knitter dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. A short body shot lands from Knitter as the two fighters clinch.

This has been an exciting period of action! Dyuzev working a defensive guard here.
Dyuzev keeping moving, preventing Knitter from controlling successfully. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dyuzev working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Knitter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Knitter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Dyuzev is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Knitter looking to pass the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lutz Knitter dominated that round. That's time! Knitter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Dyuzev is looking to clinch. The crowd cheers as Knitter lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dyuzev doesn't seem phased though. Knitter scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Dyuzev tries to close the distance and clinch but Knitter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Knitter slips a jab from Dyuzev. Dyuzev will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A looping hook to the body misses from Knitter. Dyuzev does a little dance to reset his feet. Donk. Knitter catches Dyuzev right on the button with a cross. Knitter keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Knitter connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Dyuzev's hands. Knitter catches Dyuzev with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
That's one minute gone in the round. Knitter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dyuzev circles away quickly and effectively. Dyuzev takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A left lands for Knitter. Knitter takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Knitter leaves Dyuzev with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Knitter is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Knitter connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Dyuzev throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Knitter throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Dyuzev is breathing heavily. Dyuzev is looking to clinch but Knitter is avoiding it.
Dyuzev shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Knitter sprawls well. Knitter wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dyuzev gets slowly back to his feet. Lutz Knitter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mihail Dyuzev. Dyuzev uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Knitter.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dyuzev moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Dyuzev avoids the body shot from Knitter.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Knitter has managed to clinch.

Dyuzev jumps guard but Knitter stands there with Dyuzev around his waist. Dyuzev gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Some bone on bone action there as Knitter checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Dyuzev tries to move into range but Knitter moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Dyuzev circles away from the clinch attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dyuzev throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Knitter scores with a nice strike. Knitter digs a good body shot into Dyuzev's ribs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Horrible takedown by Dyuzev or perhaps it was just good defense by Knitter which made him look bad. Knitter moves out of range of the body kick from Dyuzev.

Knitter tries to close the distance and clinch but Dyuzev swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Lutz Knitter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mihail Dyuzev. Knitter lands with a shot to the body. Knitter misses with a two punch combination.

Dyuzev tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Knitter manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Danga de danga de dang - Knitter scores with a four punch combination! Lutz Knitter is winning the standup battle so far. Dyuzev shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Knitter sprawls well. Knitter wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dyuzev gets slowly back to his feet. Knitter lands a body shot.
Knitter fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Dyuzev has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dyuzev takes one to the chin there. A jab from Knitter does it's job there. A combination from Knitter does no damage. Knitter is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dyuzev can do to turn this around? Knitter jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Decent striking displayed by Dyuzev there. Dyuzev takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Knitter ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Knitter clinches with his opponent.

Knitter scores with a shot to the side of Dyuzev's head. Knitter breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A jab from Knitter finds it's way through Dyuzev's defenses. Knitter swings for the body but Dyuzev moves out of range.
Knitter slaps away a takedown attempt from Dyuzev, before circling back to the center of the mat. Dyuzev closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Dyuzev on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Dyuzev takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Dyuzev is rocked! Dyuzev takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Dyuzev takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Dyuzev drops his hands momentarily and Knitter takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dyuzev goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. A left lands for Knitter. Dyuzev is still on wobbly legs! Can Knitter finish him? Knitter throws a shot to the body.
Dyuzev seems to have recovered his senses. Dyuzev is looking to clinch but Knitter is avoiding it.
Knitter gets in close and instigates a clinch. A short left from Knitter. A quick uppercut on the inside from Knitter. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Knitter struggles to land a body shot inside as Dyuzev controls his hands.
Lutz Knitter is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Knitter lands a nice uppercut. Mihail Dyuzev has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Knitter tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Knitter lands with a left to the head.
And that's the end of the fight! Lutz Knitter showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Knitter, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
