Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Villar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Stanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Villar comes to the cage accompanied by Deuces. Stanson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Until The End. The key to victory for Chris Villar has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Villar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brian Stanson! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Villar misses with the combination.

Stanson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Villar manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Villar has a closed guard, preventing Stanson from standing up. Stanson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Villar shoots in for a takedown but Stanson shows good takedown defense. Chris Villar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Villar shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Villar looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Villar. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Villar manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Stanson on his heels. He'll look to pass Stanson's guard now, I'm sure. Villar working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Stanson pushes Villar off and gets back to his feet.
Stanson tries to close the distance and clinch but Villar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Stanson dives in and grabs Villar's left leg, looking for a takedown. Villar pushes down on Stanson's head and hops out. Villar displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Stanson. Villar shoots in but Stanson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Villar gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Stanson counters with a lovely straight right hand! Villar shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stanson pinned against the cage. Stanson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Villar looks to throw the jab but Stanson is out of range. Stanson dives in and scores a takedown into Villar's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Villar is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Stanson is trying to drag Villar to the mat but Villar just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Stanson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Villar drags the fight down to the ground.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Villar cracks Stanson with an open hand slap. Stanson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Villar is trying to maintain the position but Stanson is very close to passing his half guard. Stanson decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Stanson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Villar on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Villar tries to get out of the position.

Stanson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Villar pinned against the cage. Villar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Stanson tries to clinch but Villar moves out of range. Stanson tries to clinch up. Stanson wants to clinch. Villar works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Stanson works the jab nicely. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Villar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stanson as he avoids it easily. Villar looks for a takedown but Stanson sprawls well. Villar jabs at Stanson's body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brian Stanson dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Villar lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stanson circles away quickly and effectively. Villar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stanson as he avoids it easily. Horrible takedown by Villar or perhaps it was just good defense by Stanson which made him look bad. Villar throws a jab when Stanson was well out of range. Villar throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Chris Villar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Stanson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Villar looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Stanson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Villar to his feet. Villar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Villar walks into a left hand. Stanson throws a leg kick but Villar sees it coming and moves out of range. Stanson cracks a nice hook into Villar's ribs. Villar falls off balance throwing a combination
and Stanson counters with a series of strikes. Villar will be more careful next time no doubt.

Villar fails with a takedown attempt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Villar is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Stanson. Stanson misses with a body shot.

Villar lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stanson is looking to clinch. Stanson moves into the clinch. Villar decides to pull guard. Stanson stands and steps away. Villar gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Stanson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Villar sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stanson somewhat. Stanson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Brian Stanson seems to be getting the better of the standup. Villar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Villar looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Stanson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Villar is trying to stand up here but Stanson is controlling him well.

He's got his arms around Villar's waist but Villar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stanson off to one side. Villar connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Stanson momentarily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A jab from Stanson misses. Villar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stanson circles away. A looping hook to the body misses from Villar. Stanson does a little dance to reset his feet. Stanson misses with a low kick as Villar jumps back. Stanson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Villar.

Stanson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brian Stanson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Villar throws a right hand that Stanson ducks under and follows up with a left that Stanson also avoids with ease. Nice sprawl there from Villar as Stanson shoots in. Villar looks for a takedown but Stanson sprawls well. Stanson throws the kick towards the body but Villar avoids it. Stanson tries to bum rush Villar with a series of wild strikes but Villar uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Stanson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Villar! Stanson controlling from mount.

Horrible takedown by Villar or perhaps it was just good defense by Stanson which made him look bad. Stanson moves into range and connects with a jab. Stanson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Villar's guard. Stanson stands up from Villar's guard - Stanson perhaps looking for a knockout. Chris Villar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stanson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Villar wants to control but Stanson is having none of it. Stanson content just to control the position here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Villar is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Brian Stanson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Stanson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
