Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rob Salek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jez Donnely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Donnely comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Wu Tang Clan-Protect ya Neck kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rob Salek could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jez Donnely's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 30 - 0, fighting out of London, Rob Salek! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jez Donnely! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Donnely checks a leg kick. Salek takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Salek throws a body kick that misses. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Salek. Donnely showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Salek.
Donnely closes the distance and clinches. Donnely is struggling to control the position. Donnely fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Salek tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Donnely's elbow. Salek lands an elbow just above Donnely 's eye. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Donnely continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salek misses with a knee to the head. Salek blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Donnely is trying to push Salek away but Salek has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Salek pushes off an throws an elbow but Donnely leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Donnely. Donnely tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Salek is looking to control Donnely's arms but Donnely gets an underhook and turns him. Now Salek has his back to the cage. Donnely stalling in the clinch.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Jez Donnely. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Donnely, as that shot connected.
Donnely misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Donnely has Salek up against the cage in a clinch.
Salek has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Donnely after a bit of a struggle. Salek is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Donnely unloads a knee to the mid-section. Salek lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Donnely with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Donnely jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Salek walks away with a smile on his face. Donnely gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Rob Salek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jez Donnely. No luck with that takedown attempt from Donnely. Donnely throws a quick inside leg kick. Donnely feints a jab promting Salek to slip. Donnely then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Salek slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Salek feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Donnely's calf. Donnely drives through with a takedown into Salek's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Salek preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Donnely stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Salek swivels though and keeps the full guard. Donnely has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Donnely forces his way into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Salek is trying to stand back up but Donnely is controlling him
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salek blocking the ground and pound attempt from Donnely. Donnely is pressing down on Salek's thigh, looking to free his foot. Salek is holding on for now. Salek is breathing heavily. Donnely throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Donnely decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Donnely forces Salek back against the cage and clinches. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Donnely. Donnely tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Salek smiles and moves away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Donnely. Donnely shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Salek is trying to defend but Donnely finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Donnely works his foot free and advances to mount. Donnely working Salek over with strikes here. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Donnely landing strikes, looking to finish! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Salek is bucking up trying to escape but Donnely cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Salek taking shots to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jez Donnely dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Donnely throws a one two combo.
Donnely lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Donnely blocks a leg kick. Donnely circles away from the clinch attempt.
Donnely gets a clinch. Salek gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Donnely.
Both fighters working to control the clinch. Donnely dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Salek breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A nice leg kick lands there from Donnely. Salek tries to clinch but Donnely moves out of range. Salek sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. A nice leg kick lands there from Donnely. Donnely gets a double leg takedown into Salek's guard. Donnely gets to his feet. Salek looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salek fails with a takedown attempt. Donnely takes the fight into the clinch. Donnely is stalling here.
Donnely receives a warning from the referee for stalling. Donnely gets control of Salek's arms and successfully pulls guard. Donnely will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Donnely is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Salek is in trouble now - Donnely has advanced to mount! Donnely lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Salek knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Donnely on the ground. Donnely punishing his opponent with strikes. Jez Donnely has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Donnely breaks from Salek's wrist control and lands an elbow. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Donnely fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Donnely looking to finish Salek with some ground and pound. This is bad for Salek! Donnely landing strikes from the mount. Donnely is in the full mount, landing strikes. Donnely postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Salek looks a forlorn figure.
Donnely scoring with strikes but Salek is staying in there. Donnely fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Salek is rocked! Donnely has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Donnely unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Salek wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Donnely celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jez Donnely! As Jez Donnely got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: I was gonna call for a title shot but first I want to fight Phill Smith. Its a fight that the fans want to see and the winner......well the winner should get a shot at making the 135lb title credible'.
