PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Abbott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sandor Clegane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abbott comes into the arena with Parental Discretion Advised blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, David Abbott! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sandor Clegane! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abbott closes the distance but Clegane moves to the side and Clegane counters with a head kick. Abbott keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Clegane fails to land the takedown. Clegane lands a nice looking kick to the body. Abbott takes a step back to recover. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Clegane swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Clegane throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Abbott's head.
It looks like David Abbott has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clegane shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Abbott counter with a right hand. David Abbott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sandor Clegane. Clegane knocks Abbott to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
Abbott is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Clegane working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Oh Abbott is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Abbott takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Clegane is looking to take a break and control but Abbott is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Abbott seems to have got his legs back now. Clegane is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Clegane has hold of Abbott's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Abbott seems comfortable defending it but Clegane has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Abbott is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Abbott is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Clegane couldn't care less - he's delighted!
