Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Keisuke Okazaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Schwetty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Keisuke Okazaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pete Schwetty! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schwetty pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Okazaki back to the cage. Schwetty follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Schwetty throws a right hand that Okazaki ducks under and follows up with a left that Okazaki also avoids with ease. Schwetty rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Okazaki moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Schwetty instigates a clinch. Schwetty's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Pete Schwetty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sloppy strikes from Schwetty. Those never looked like landing. Schwetty throws a right and a left that both miss. Schwetty throws a lazy head kick and Okazaki counters with a nice kick to the body. Sloppy strikes from Schwetty. Those never looked like landing. Okazaki lands a head kick!
This has been an exciting period of action! Schwetty tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Okazaki manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Schwetty shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Okazaki eats them both and turns towards Schwetty to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Okazaki feints and then cracks Schwetty's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Schwetty down. Schwetty looks gassed! A thudding body kick lands there by Okazaki!

That's one minute gone in the round. Okazaki throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Schwetty. Okazaki lands a brutal head kick. Schwetty looks out on his feet and Okazaki throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Keisuke Okazaki! Keisuke Okazaki was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
