Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reggie Hutson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaquinta Ferreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ferreira has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hutson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ferreira was covering up waiting for the punch and Hutson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Ferreira looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Hutson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Hutson's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Hutson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Hutson gets to his feet. Ferreira looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Ferreira keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hutson lands a big head kick that sends Ferreira tumbling to the mat! Hutson takes a step backwards and waves Ferreira back to his feet - he wants the finish!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hutson tries to clinch up but Ferreira circles away and keeps his distance.
Hutson moves in looking to clinch but Ferreira pushes him off.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ferreira leaves Hutson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Hutson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ferreira quickly recovers to half guard.

Hutson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ferreira knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Hutson is working hard here to advance position.

Hutson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Ferreira wants to improve his position but Hutson is controlling well.
Reggie Hutson has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
A head kick misses from Hutson.

Ferreira is rocked!
That has opened up Jaquinta Ferreira 's cut even more.
Hutson looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Hutson backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Ferreira 's temple! It sends Ferreira violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Hutson celebrates and the doctors try to help Ferreira !
