Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Alma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Eibner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brett Eibner is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Alma! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brett Eibner! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alma looks to land a right hand but Eibner moved out of range. Alma scores with a one two! Eibner had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Eibner misses with a takedown attempt - Alma sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Alma fails with an attempt to clinch.
Alma tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Alma swings for the body but Eibner moves out of range.
Alma closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Alma cracks Eibner with a big right hand but Eibner just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Alma tries to move to mount but Eibner blocks the move with his legs. Eibner throws up a few punches. Alma tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Alma has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Eibner taking a bit of punishment here - Alma scoring with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alma is looking to take a break and control but Eibner is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Eibner manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Eibner throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Alma takes a body punch but keeps moving. Alma throws a sloppy head kick and Eibner moves out of range easily. Eibner misses with a takedown and Alma counters with a right hand to the body. Eibner forces Alma back against the cage and clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alma misses with the head strike.
Eibner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Eibner bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Alma lands a right hook to the body.
Eibner has his takedown stuffed and Alma counters with a takedown into side control. Ricardo Alma has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brett Eibner. Alma wants to control but Eibner is keeping him busy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Eibner is trying to improve his position. Eibner struggling a bit here. Alma wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Eibner, who protects the arm well. Alma is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Eibner is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Eibner takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Eibner misses with a takedown attempt and Alma counters with a lovely straight right hand! Alma tests Eibner's chin there with a solid looking shot. Eibner with a poor takedown and Alma moves into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. A right hook to the body lands for Alma.
Alma tries to work over Eibner's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Eibner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Alma throws a series of punches but Eibner avoids them all with ease. Eibner swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Eibner steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Alma. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Alma lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Eibner has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Eibner and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Alma lands the left hand. A head kick misses from Alma. Eibner misses with a left hand and Alma counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Eibner with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Alma to counter with a crisp jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eibner misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Eibner tries for a takedown but Alma circles away easily and Alma counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Ricardo Alma has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brett Eibner. Alma wants to lay and pray for a moment but Eibner keeps working. Alma seems to be working for a kimura but Eibner defends the submission attempt. Eibner missing with punches from the bottom.

Eibner takes a body punch but keeps moving. Alma doesn't succeed with the takedown and Eibner counters with a lovely straight right hand! Alma tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Alma lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Alma misses with a head kick.
Alma gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alma is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Alma is trying to control the action in half guard but Eibner is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Alma lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Eibner is looking for a sweep. Alma is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Eibner wants to control but Alma is keeping busy and won't allow it. The fighters are battling for position here. Eibner manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Eibner throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
