Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Craig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cardio Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cardio Machine is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cardio Machine!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Craig fails to land the takedown.
Craig closes the distance and pushes Machine back into the cage.
Machine is looking for a takedown.
Craig pulls Machine into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Cardio Machine hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Craig throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Machine's waist but Machine gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Craig off to one side.

and Machine counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Machine shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Machine was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Craig is desperately trying to improve his position but Machine has a good base and remains in mount.
Machine looking to control and managing it successfully.
Machine lands a big shot there that rocks Craig but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Machine is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Craig can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Craig tries to lock up and control but Machine gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Machine takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Craig really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Machine really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Craig. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Machine with shots to the head and body - Craig looks very uncomfortable down there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Machine takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Machine dodges the punch combination from Craig.
Craig fails with a takedown attempt.
Machine changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Craig tries to avoid it but Machine manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Craig to the ground. Craig escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nice takedown defense from Craig. No joy for Machine on that attempt.

Craig has his feet on Machine's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Machine fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Craig throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Machine.

Craig closes the distance and clinches up with Machine, looking for a takedown. Craig pushes Machine against the cage but Machine circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Machine tries to score a power double leg takedown but Craig sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Machine somewhat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Machine is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Craig controls Machine momentarily but Machine frees himself.

Craig looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Machine has picked Craig up and slammed him! Craig can't keep hold of the triangle and Machine manages to pass to side control!

Craig pushes Machine away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Machine gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
