Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frankestein Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mir comes to the cage accompanied by STOMP!!! by The Brothers Johnson!!!. Randy Ortiz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Randy Ortiz!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Bruno Lombardi and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Mir is able to avoid easily.

Mir swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Mir drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Randy Ortiz hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Ortiz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mir avoids it really well and circles away.

Mir will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mir looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ortiz is fending him off so far but Mir persists. Nope, Ortiz circles away and we're back to standing.

Horrible takedown by Ortiz or perhaps it was just good defense by Mir which made him look bad.

Mir changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ortiz tries to avoid it but Mir manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ortiz to the ground. Ortiz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Ortiz and Mir goes tumbling to the canvas! Ortiz follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
