Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Cote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Jellyroll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jellyroll is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Ecstasy of Gold. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charlie Cote!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simon Jellyroll!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Alyssa Summers and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cote shoots in and drives through. Jellyroll sprawls well.
Horrible takedown by Cote or perhaps it was just good defense by Jellyroll which made him look bad.
Jellyroll scores with a nice right hand.
Cote could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Cote throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jellyroll's waist but Jellyroll gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cote off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charlie Cote. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cote takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Jellyroll throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Cote shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jellyroll closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cote to the mat! Cote manages to get full guard.

Cote knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jellyroll on the ground.

Jellyroll got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cote has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jellyroll has managed to get both his arms back between Cote's legs - danger averted.

Jellyroll loads up with a big shot that hurts Cote! He's pulled Jellyroll in close but Jellyroll has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Cote survive? More strikes from Jellyroll and Cote is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
