Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Benjamin Grundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Mulroney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Benjamin Grundy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Mulroney!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Kavanagh and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grundy throws a leg kick
and Mulroney counters with a good, hard body kick but Grundy shrugs it off.
Grundy looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Mulroney throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Grundy lands with a kick to the ribs.
A chopping leg kick lands by Grundy.
Mulroney connects with a leg kick. Grundy looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Grundy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Grundy wants to clinch.
Mulroney cracks Grundy with an open hand slap.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Grundy moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mulroney misses with a low kick.
Mulroney lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Mulroney.
Mulroney ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Grundy moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Grundy doesn't manage to clinch there - Mulroney circles away.
Grundy moves out of range of the strikes.
Mulroney lands with an uppercut that bounces Grundy off the cage and back into range.
Grundy slips a jab from Mulroney.
Mulroney motions for Grundy to come forward. Mulroney throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Grundy throws a chopping leg kick but Mulroney manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Mulroney misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Grundy tries to clinch
and Mulroney counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Grundy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Grundy takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Mulroney bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Grundy's head backwards.
Grundy lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Mulroney takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mulroney takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Grundy slips a jab from Mulroney.
Grundy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mulroney.
Grundy tries to clinch there but Mulroney circles away.
A big left from Mulroney misses.
Grundy rushes Mulroney and presses him up against the cage.
Grundy misses with a hook to the ribs.
Grundy pressing his opponent against the cage.
Grundy tries to circle away but Mulroney has him pinned against the cage.
Mulroney putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Grundy in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Mulroney misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Grundy misses with a punch to the body.
Grundy wants to stall.
Grundy can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.

Mulroney pushes Grundy back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Mulroney has Grundy pushed against the cage.
Mulroney blocks an elbow strike.
Mulroney tries a body shot but Grundy blocks it.
Grundy is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Grundy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Grundy throws a chopping leg kick but Mulroney manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Mulroney feints and then cracks Grundy's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Grundy down.
Mulroney cracks a nice hook into Grundy's ribs.
Grundy misses with a low kick.
Grundy uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mulroney.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mulroney moves out of range of the leg kick from Grundy.
Grundy takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A decent looking cross lands there for Mulroney.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Grundy tries to score with a low kick but Mulroney moves his leg out of the way.
Mulroney misses with a straight left.
A head kick from Mulroney lands but Grundy takes it in his stride.
Grundy is rocked!
Grundy throws a lazy uppercut
and Mulroney counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Grundy off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Mulroney follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Grundy was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Brian Mulroney!
A less than humble Brian Mulroney misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
