Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benjamin Grundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Payne comes into the arena with Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff blaring out of the sound system. Benjamin Grundy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Kavanagh and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne ducks right into an uppercut from Grundy.
It looks like Curtis Payne has been cut.
Curtis Payne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Payne shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Payne avoids the attempt from Grundy to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Payne lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Payne raining down shots from the mount!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Grundy is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Payne is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Grundy has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Grundy!
Payne throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Grundy escapes and throws Payne's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Payne tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Payne might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Payne trying to get back to full guard but Grundy takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Grundy looking to control but Payne is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Payne is trying desperately to improve position.
Grundy tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Payne can't escape the position.
Grundy controlling from mount.
Grundy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Payne working to try and regain half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Payne is squirming around, avoiding Grundy's attempts to control the action.
Grundy controlling the pace for now.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Benjamin Grundy wasn't active enough on the ground.
Grundy feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Paynes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Curtis Payne will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Grundy motions for Payne to come forward. Grundy throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Grundy swinging wildly here.
Grundy lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Payne misses with a double jab.
Some bone on bone action there as Payne checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Grundy throws a leg kick but Payne moved away.

and Grundy counters with an outside leg kick.
Payne with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Grundy throws a lazy uppercut
and Payne counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A chopping leg kick lands by Grundy.
Payne misses with a telegraphed body shot
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Payne has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Grundy.
Payne digs a good body shot into Grundy's ribs.
Benjamin Grundy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Payne takes a swing at Grundy's ribcage but misses.
Payne throws a body punch but Grundy moves out of range.
Grundy steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Payne.
Grundy throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Payne stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Payne is looking to wear down Grundy with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Grundy cracks the inside of Payne's front leg.
Payne tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Grundy was well out of range. Poor timing from Payne.
Grundy misses with a wild body shot.
Grundy ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Payne throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Grundy makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Grundy connects with a solid leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Grundy cracks Payne with a good jab.
Grundy connects with a body shot.
Grundy connects with a leg kick. Payne looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Grundy is looking to land body kicks.
Payne waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Grundy.
Grundy connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Payne momentarily.
Payne misses with an uppercut. Grundy saw that one coming.
Grundy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Grundy lands a big head kick that sends Payne tumbling to the mat! Grundy takes a step backwards and waves Payne back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Payne is rocked!
Grundy scoring well with a low kick there.
Oh Payne is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A head kick by Grundy - that's a beauty! Payne is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Grundy can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Benjamin Grundy!
