Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Omar Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jiu Jitsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jiu Jitsu has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Omar Mendes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jiu Jitsu!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jitsu shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

Jitsu takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Mendes tries to bum rush Jitsu with a series of wild strikes but Jitsu uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Jitsu shoots in looking for a takedown but Mendes manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jitsu's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Mendes bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jitsu's head backwards.
Mendes swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mendes throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Jitsu.
Mendes lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Mendes.
Jitsu takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

No luck for Jitsu with that takedown attempt.
Jitsu takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jitsu is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mendes sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jitsu takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Jitsu has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Jitsu might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Mendes has got the better of the exchanges.

Jitsu takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Mendes lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Jitsu backs up against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mendes pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Jitsu back to the cage. Mendes follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

and Mendes counters with a head kick. That will keep Jitsu thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Jitsu is still on wobbly legs! Can Mendes finish him?
Mendes connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Jitsu tumbling to the canvas! Mendes pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Jitsu was done - good stoppage!

Our winner, Omar Mendes, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
