Thorpe comes to the cage accompanied by Limelight by Rush. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gamaa wants to clinch up but Thorpe keeps it at a distance.

and Thorpe counters with a shoot takedown. Gamaa fights it but they end up in guard.
Thorpe won't allow Gamaa to get back to his feet.
Thorpe lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Thorpe cracks Gamaa with a solid left hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Thorpe won't allow Gamaa to get back to his feet.
Gamaa has momentary wrist control but Thorpe slips an elbow through the middle.
Thorpe is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Gamaa is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Thorpe is controlling him.
Thorpe lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Thorpe makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thorpe stops Gamaa from standing up.

Gamaa wants to stand and escape but Thorpe is having none of it.

Gamaa looks gassed!
Thorpe content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Thorpe postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gamaa can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Thorpe's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gamaa wants to stand up but Thorpe is controlling him.
Thorpe stands up over Gamaa, holding on to his feet. Thorpe throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Gamaa is out cold! Thorpe lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
