Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximo Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Belfort comes to the cage accompanied by Simple Man. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jonathan Paton and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belfort doesn't manage to clinch there - Drago circles away.
Drago fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Drago lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Vitor Belfort seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Belfort throws a combination that misses
and Drago makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Belfort with a lazy takedown attempt
and Drago counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Drago connects with the punch.
Drago avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The fight stays on the outside here - Belfort looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Belfort takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
The fighters circle momentarily. Belfort darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Belfort throws a lazy uppercut
and Drago counters with a stiff right hand.
A shot to the body from Belfort misses
and Belfort takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Belfort throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Belfort throws a sloppy body shot
and Drago counters with an outside leg kick.
Drago fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Belfort on the side of the head.
Drago uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Belfort.
Drago misses with a hook. Belfort ducked under it nicely.
Belfort throws a right hand that Drago ducks under and follows up with a left that Drago also avoids with ease.
A looping hook to the body misses from Belfort. Drago does a little dance to reset his feet.
Belfort throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Belfort pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Drago gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Belfort.
Belfort looks to throw a body kick
and Drago counters with a straight right hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Belfort misses with a straight left.
Belfort on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Drago is looking to slow Belfort down with leg kicks.
Belfort waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Drago.
Belfort rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Drago counters with a left to the body.
Drago thuds his right hand into Belfort's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Belfort throws a lazy head kick
and Drago counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Belfort is breathing heavily.
Drago fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Belfort has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
A slapping leg kick lands for Drago.
Drago is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Belfort had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Drago fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Belfort.
Belfort throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Drago counters with a leg kick.
Drago throws a head kick that Belfort semi-blocks.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Drago lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Drago comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A shot to the body from Belfort misses
and Drago counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Drago lands an overhand right.
Belfort shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Drago but Drago pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Drago lands with a nice body kick.
Drago scores with a hook to the body. Belfort takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Belfort gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Drago chopping away at his opponent's legs.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Drago, right into the meat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Maximo Drago dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
A slapping body kick lands there for Drago.
Belfort is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Drago staying out of range there.
Drago scores with a head kick. Belfort tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Belfort is rocked!
Drago jabs at Belfort's body.
Drago throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Oh Belfort is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Drago.
Belfort drops his hands momentarily. Drago doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Belfort staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Belfort doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Maximo Drago!
