Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ross Ocipzak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Bailey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Bob Bailey enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ross Ocipzak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bob Bailey!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ocipzak misses with a low kick as Bailey jumps back.
Bob Bailey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ocipzak throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Bailey.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Bailey trying to control the action but Ocipzak is working from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Ocipzak's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Bailey is looking to take a break and control but Ocipzak is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bailey works to advance to full mount. Ocipzak defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Bailey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ocipzak. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ocipzak is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bailey's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bailey's back!

Ocipzak has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Bailey has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ocipzak has the hooks in. Bailey is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Ocipzak is persistently looking for the submission but Bailey is defending it well.
Ocipzak is trying to stick to Bailey's back but Bailey is turning into Ocipzak. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Ocipzak's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Bailey.

Ocipzak drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bailey manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ocipzak has Bailey in his guard.

Bailey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ocipzak swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bailey seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Bob Bailey wasn't active enough on the ground.

and Ocipzak decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bailey's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ocipzak drops back looking for a leg! Bailey is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bailey manages to kick Ocipzak off! Ocipzak jumps back into Bailey's guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Ocipzak motions for Bailey to come forward. Ocipzak throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Bailey fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ocipzak avoids it really well and circles away.
Bailey shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ocipzak pinned against the cage. Ocipzak gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Ocipzak is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ocipzak lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bailey has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bailey and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ocipzak, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
