Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kaleo Mahe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hawiian King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawiian King is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kaleo Mahe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hawiian King!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King fails with a takedown attempt.

Mahe has managed to clinch.

Mahe has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed King clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Mahe is riding his opponent, not letting King buck him off.
Mahe trying to control momentarily.
King is trying to stand back up.

King breaks Mahe's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Mahe has a closed guard, preventing King from standing up.
Mahe has King pulled in close to control his posture.

Mahe is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. King is aware though and is defending well.

King got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mahe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, King has managed to get both his arms back between Mahe's legs - danger averted.
King is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Mahe throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

King tries to stand but Mahe is controlling from the bottom.

Mahe wriggles free and stands up.
King takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
King shoots for a double leg takedown but Mahe sprawls well. He's pushed King's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mahe shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has King pinned against the cage. King gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Mahe instigates a clinch.

Mahe has hold of one of King's legs. King is fighting the takedown attempt but Mahe gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

King working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mahe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mahe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee warns King that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Mahe wants to control the pace but King is squirming around nicely.

King tries to bench press Mahe off him but Mahe keeps the position.

Mahe is looking to take a break and control but King is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

King looks for a takedown but Mahe sprawls well.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mahe. King does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mahe pushes King away with a front kick.
King throws a one two combo.

Mahe clinches with his opponent.

Mahe manages to pull guard.

King is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mahe is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mahe has escaped and now he's on top!
King is breathing heavily.

Mahe trying to control the position from guard on top but King is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

King has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Mahe is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for King.
Kaleo Mahe overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Mahe decides to stand up, so the ref orders King to his feet.

Mahe fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. King sprawls well initially but Mahe persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Mahe bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

King feints a jab promting Mahe to slip. King then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Mahe slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

King misses with a takedown attempt - Mahe sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

King doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Mahe is pushing down on King's leg trying to pass to half guard. King is fighting to maintain full guard but Mahe has managed to sneak the leg through.

Mahe is trying to control. King wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
King is trying to stand up here but Mahe is controlling him well.
