The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mines shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Sabella counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Mines has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sabella can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Mines looking for a guillotine here but Sabella defends easily.
Mines wants to get back to his feet but Sabella is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Sabella is pushing down on Mines's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mines is fighting to maintain full guard but Sabella has managed to sneak the leg through.

Sabella is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Sabella seems to be working for a kimura but Mines defends the submission attempt.
