The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knockout fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Popodov shoots in but Knockout avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Knockout works over Popodov's head and body with a nice combination.

Knockout jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Popodov walks away with a smile on his face. Knockout gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Popodov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Knockout looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Knockout is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Popodov is working to tighten is grip on Knockout's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Knockout has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Popodov is really squeezing tight and eventually Knockout passes out! Popodov breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
