Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Via Dios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dios kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sandstorm. Via Dios could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Bobby Hill's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill misses with a takedown attempt - Dios sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hill shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Hill is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Dios gets back to half guard.
Hill seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dios does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Hill stops Dios from getting back to his feet.
Dios regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Hill.
Hill with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hill throwing strikes but missing.
Dios keeping moving, preventing Hill from controlling successfully.

Hill is in close to Dios's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hill trying to control the position from guard on top but Dios is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hill missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Dios keeping moving, preventing Hill from controlling successfully.
Hill throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dios works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Dios is looking for a triangle but Hill pushes his legs off easily.
Hill stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dios swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hill in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hill is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Dios utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Dios is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hill is controlling him.

Dios really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hill distracts Dios with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Hill throws an elbow that misses. Dios uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hill's guard. Nice move by Dios!

Hill trying to keep a closed guard but Dios is proving a slippery customer.
Hill escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dios gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hill lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dios!
Dios is bucking up trying to escape but Hill cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hill swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bobby Hill!
After winning the bout, Bobby Hill thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
