Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Saul Goodman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Draper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Saul Goodman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Don Draper!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goodman scores with a decent looking hook.
Goodman works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Draper with a lazy takedown attempt
and Goodman counters with a leg kick.
Draper doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Goodman counters with a good low kick that Draper was not able to check.
A left and a right from Goodman both land. Nice combination.
Goodman throws a head kick that misses.
Goodman fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Draper is out of range.
Draper doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Goodman connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Draper shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Goodman defends it nicely.

Horrible takedown by Draper or perhaps it was just good defense by Goodman which made him look bad.

Goodman dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Draper. That did some damage!

Draper closes this distance looking for a takedown but Goodman circles away.

Goodman throws a combination. Draper tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Draper dives in and grabs Goodman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Goodman pushes down on Draper's head and hops out.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Draper shoots in and drives through. Goodman sprawls well.

Goodman throws a series of punches but Draper avoids them all with ease.
Draper tries to close the distance and clinch but Goodman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Draper is trying desperately to land a takedown but Goodman is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Draper.

Goodman is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Draper.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Goodman is pulling down on Draper's head. It's preventing any offense from Draper, at least for the moment.

Draper's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Draper on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Draper fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Goodman avoids it really well and circles away.

Draper has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Goodman feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Drapers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Goodman feints and then cracks Draper's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Draper down.

Saul Goodman showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Goodman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
