Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marva Kuebler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ming Maoki! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Valeri Chadov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maoki fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kuebler to the ground. Maoki is now in Kuebler's guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Maoki trying to control but Kuebler is working from the bottom. Kuebler throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Maoki escapes and throws Kuebler's legs to the side, diving into side control! Maoki trying to control the position but Kuebler is working away. Kuebler can't do much from the bottom here. Maoki tries for a kimura but Kuebler is defending well. Maoki tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Maoki has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Maoki working away. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Maoki is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kuebler knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Kuebler manages to work his way to half guard, despite Maoki's best efforts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maoki wants to work for an arm triangle but Kuebler is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Maoki must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kuebler looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Maoki drops back looking for a leg! Kuebler is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kuebler manages to kick Maoki off! Maoki jumps back into Kuebler's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kuebler has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Maoki should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Kuebler has tightened it up now! Maoki should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
