Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Johan Perciwall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cal Worsham!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Worsham has a takedown stuffed.
Johan Perciwall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perciwall is looking to slow Worsham down with leg kicks.
Perciwall fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Worsham.
Worsham fails with the takedown
and Perciwall counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Perciwall works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Perciwall lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Worsham circles away quickly and effectively.
Worsham will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Johan Perciwall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cal Worsham.

Perciwall knocks Worsham to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?


Worsham is rocked!


It looks like Cal Worsham has been cut.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Worsham is looking to regain half guard here but Perciwall keeps moving and retains side control.
Worsham is not content to let Perciwall control the position.
Perciwall working away.
Perciwall tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Perciwall trying to control the action but Worsham is working from the bottom.
Worsham is looking for a sweep.
Worsham is trying to control Perciwall's posture but Perciwall avoids it.
Worsham is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Worsham is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Perciwall trying to control the position but Worsham is working away.
Perciwall tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Worsham tries to bench press Perciwall off him but Perciwall keeps the position.

Worsham sneaks back into half guard.
Worsham is refusing to be controlled, as Perciwall sits in half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Johan Perciwall.

Perciwall lands a head kick that stumbles Worsham and the fighters go to the mat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Worsham bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Perciwall's guard.

Worsham drops back looking for a leg! Perciwall is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Perciwall manages to kick Worsham off! Worsham jumps back into Perciwall's guard.
Worsham won't allow Perciwall to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Perciwall keeping moving, preventing Worsham from controlling successfully.
Worsham is in close to Perciwall's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Worsham stops Perciwall from standing up.
Perciwall knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Worsham on the ground.
Perciwall has momentary wrist control but Worsham slips an elbow through the middle.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Worsham trying to control the position from guard on top but Perciwall is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johan Perciwall dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Cal Worsham's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Perciwall is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Worsham shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Perciwall as he jumps to the side.
A punch combination from Perciwall misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Worsham.
Perciwall defending against the ground and pound.

Worsham working the head and body with strikes.
Perciwall takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Perciwall on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Perciwall tries to get out of the position.

Worsham wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Perciwall, who protects the arm well.
Perciwall takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Perciwall is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Worsham tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Perciwall pushes Worsham away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Worsham gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Worsham tries to score with some ground and pound. Perciwall controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Worsham lands a few punches from side control.
Worsham trying to control the action but Perciwall is working from the bottom.
Worsham lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Cal Worsham has got the better of the ground game so far.
Perciwall takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.


Perciwall is rocked!

Worsham has an Americana. Perciwall didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Worsham is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Worsham hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Cal Worsham!
