Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mario Brazilian Bjj! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Anderson Sillva! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brazilian Bjj misses with a left hand and Sillva counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sillva. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Sillva in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Sillva wants to control from the top but Brazilian Bjj keeps moving. Sillva has gone for a leg lock! Brazilian Bjj slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sillva's guard. Brazilian Bjj looking to pass the guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Brazilian Bjj stands and throws Sillva's legs to the side, diving into side control. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Sillva tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Brazilian Bjj wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Brazilian Bjj really is a fat lump. Brazilian Bjj is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sillva is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sillva is looking to reverse the position. Brazilian Bjj is trying to land an Americana. We're going to have a standup here because Mario Brazilian Bjj wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Sillva fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Brazilian Bjj to the ground. Sillva is now in Brazilian Bjj's guard. Brazilian Bjj keeping moving, preventing Sillva from controlling successfully. Brazilian Bjj wants to stand but Sillva is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sillva wants to control from the top but Brazilian Bjj keeps moving. Sillva throwing strikes from guard but Brazilian Bjj blocks nicely. Brazilian Bjj might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Sillva stopping the sweep attempt from Brazilian Bjj. Sillva trying to control but Brazilian Bjj is working from the bottom. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Brazilian Bjj trying to control the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sillva wants to control from the top but Brazilian Bjj keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brazilian Bjj is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sillva defends well. Brazilian Bjj is trying to control the position but Sillva postures up. Sillva connects with a couple of short punches. Brazilian Bjj is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sillva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brazilian Bjj. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Brazilian Bjj is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Sillva throwing strikes but missing. Brazilian Bjj keeping moving, preventing Sillva from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sillva slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sillva accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Brazilian Bjj not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sillva postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Brazilian Bjj keeping moving, preventing Sillva from controlling successfully. Sillva might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Brazilian Bjj kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Brazilian Bjj tries to sprawl but Sillva drives through with a takedown into half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sillva working the head and body with strikes.
It looks like Mario Brazilian Bjj has been cut. Sillva throws a strike but Brazilian Bjj avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Sillva trying to control but Brazilian Bjj is working from the bottom. Brazilian Bjj wants to sweep here but Sillva controlling him for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson Sillva dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mario Brazilian Bjj's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Sillva dives in and scores a takedown into Brazilian Bjj's guard. Sillva loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Brazilian Bjj has momentary wrist control but Sillva slips an elbow through the middle. Brazilian Bjj will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Sillva prevents Brazilian Bjj from getting back to his feet. Sillva with a flurry of punches that miss. Brazilian Bjj looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sillva is one step ahead there. Brazilian Bjj is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Sillva rolls with it to try and escape but Brazilian Bjj cranks on the arm and Sillva is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
