PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jared Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Burrito Fivehead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fivehead has chosen lowrider as his entrance music. Burrito Fivehead told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone misses with a wild combination.
Fivehead tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Fivehead slips a jab and a cross from Stone.
Stone looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Stone misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Fivehead changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stone looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Stone wants to get back to his feet.

Fivehead prevents Stone from escaping the position.

Fivehead's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

I looks like Fivehead might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Despite being in the dominant position, Burrito Fivehead just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Fivehead closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stone circles away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Stone drops Fivehead with a right and a left! Stone comes rushing in but Fivehead regains his composure and manages to keep Stone in guard.

Stone decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Fivehead, up you get!

Fivehead closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Stone manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Stone throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fivehead.
Fivehead seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Stone shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Fivehead is backing up but Stone catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Fivehead covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Stone Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
