Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ray Ray will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Felipe Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ray Ray! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ray tries for a takedown but Diaz circles away easily and Diaz counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ray closes the distance and clinches up with Diaz, looking for a takedown. Ray pushes Diaz against the cage but Diaz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Diaz closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ray did well to prevent Diaz getting side control. Diaz trying to control the pace. Ray is trying to control but can't.
Diaz is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Diaz is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Ray is trying to maintain the position but Diaz is very close to passing his half guard. Ray really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Diaz drives through and clinches with Ray against the cage.
Diaz blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Ray wants to break free but Diaz has control.
Diaz gets a trip takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diaz looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ray blocking the ground and pound attempt from Diaz. Diaz controlling the action here.
Felipe Diaz has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Diaz takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Diaz throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ray shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Diaz but Diaz pushes him off and we're back to square one. Felipe Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Ray. Ray looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Diaz throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ray tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Diaz is in Ray's guard. Ray looks gassed! Diaz controls from within his opponent's guard. Diaz thows a big elbow that misses. Diaz is pushing down on Ray's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ray is fighting to maintain full guard but Diaz has managed to sneak the leg through. Diaz postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Ray to stand up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Diaz is defended easily by Ray.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ray sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Ray fails to land the takedown. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Diaz shoots for a double leg takedown but Ray sprawls well. He's pushed Diaz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Ray tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Diaz paws at him with a jab and circles away. No luck with that takedown attempt from Diaz. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The fight moves into the clinch position. Diaz drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Felipe Diaz dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ray swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Ray shoots in looking for a takedown but Diaz manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ray's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. No luck with that takedown attempt from Ray. Ray shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Diaz sprawls well. Diaz wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ray gets slowly back to his feet. Felipe Diaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ray Ray. Ray tries for a takedown but Diaz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ray is breathing heavily. Diaz shoots for a takedown but Ray saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Diaz.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ray's guard. Diaz is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Diaz pushes down on Ray's leg and manages to get into half guard. Diaz takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Diaz is working for a submission of some sort.
Diaz looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ray with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Diaz works his foot free and advances to mount. Diaz breaks from Ray's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ray is bucking up trying to escape but Diaz cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Ray is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Diaz landing strikes from the mount. Diaz landing strikes from the mount and Ray is in trouble! Diaz scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Diaz controlling the pace for now. Diaz's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Diaz lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Diaz tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Diaz is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Ray is forced to tap! Great finish!
