Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Renata Sobrawl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Hatton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sobrawl might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Eye of the Tiger. The crowd seem to be enjoying Hatton's choice of entrance music: Da Rockwilder by Redman & Method Man. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
19 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Renata Sobrawl!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeff Hatton!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Hatton enables Sobrawl to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hatton manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Sobrawl trying to control the position from guard on top but Hatton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hatton tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Sobrawl drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hatton dives on top into guard.
Hatton forces his way into half guard.
Hatton is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sobrawl doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hatton.
Sobrawl keeping hold of Hatton's head, controlling as best he can.

Hatton is looking to pass Sobrawl's guard but actually Sobrawl recovers to full guard.
Hatton with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hatton tries to free his leg and advance position but Sobrawl is retaining full guard.
Hatton is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Hatton has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sobrawl is proving hard to escape from.
Hatton trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Sobrawl manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Sobrawl closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sobrawl lands in his opponent's guard.
Hatton wants to sweep here but Sobrawl controlling him for the moment.
Sobrawl might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Sobrawl postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Sobrawl stops Hatton from standing up.

Sobrawl passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Hatton is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Sobrawl lands a nice forearm strike.
Sobrawl has knee on belly momentarily but Hatton bucks him off and regains half guard.
Hatton pushes Sobrawl off looking to stand but Sobrawl dives back in and keeps control.
Sobrawl works his way into side control.
Hatton tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sobrawl wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hatton is not content to let Sobrawl control the position.
Hatton sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Sobrawl is trying to control. Hatton wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Sobrawl works his way into side control.
Hatton is looking for a sweep.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sobrawl tries for a kimura but Hatton is defending well.
Sobrawl has hold of Hatton's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hatton tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Sobrawl cranks the arm and Hatton screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hatton, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Renata Sobrawl!
Renata Sobrawl opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
