Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Buckley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Black is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Pixies - Hey. Frank Black is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Black!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Lou da Vinci and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buckley closes the distance and clinches up with Black, looking for a takedown. Buckley pushes Black against the cage but Black circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Buckley shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Black but Black pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Buckley.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for William Buckley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Buckley takes one to the side of the head.
Buckley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Black tries to avoid it but Buckley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Black to the ground. Black escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Black moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Black swings for the body but Buckley moves out of range.
Black misses the jab.
Buckley fails to land the takedown.
Black throws a right and a left that Buckley avoids nicely.

Buckley shoots in for a takedown but Black shows good takedown defense.

Black leaves Buckley with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Black throws a hook but Buckley avoids it easily.
Buckley looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Black is fending him off so far but Buckley persists. Nope, Black circles away and we're back to standing.

Buckley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Black's waist but Black gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Buckley off to one side.

Buckley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Black tries to avoid it but Buckley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Black to the ground. Black escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Black rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Buckley moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Black scores with a jab. Buckley acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Frank Black showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Buckley looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Black is fending him off so far but Buckley persists. Nope, Black circles away and we're back to standing.

Buckley thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Black's head.

Black is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Buckley scores with a couple of nice shots.

Black utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Buckley stands up over Black, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Black is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Buckley lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Black is trying to control the position but Buckley postures up.
Buckley lands a couple of digs.
Buckley is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Buckley throws an elbow that misses. Black uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Buckley's guard. Nice move by Black!
Black must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Buckley seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Buckley wants to sweep but no luck.

Buckley bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Black's guard.
Frank Black is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
