Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vincenzo Calliente (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phal Um (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phal Um will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 25 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vincenzo Calliente! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phal Um! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Columbo Gatti and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Um keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Calliente. Um forces Calliente back against the cage and clinches. Um pushes Calliente back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Calliente manages to break the clinch.
A lazy left from Um finds it's target. Um walks into a left hand. Calliente throws a hook but Um blocks it. Calliente misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A jab from Um misses. Calliente misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Um connects with a nice looking jab.
Um shoots in and gets a takedown into Calliente's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Um postures up.
Um postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Um is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Um is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Calliente manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Um manages to get himself to full guard.
Calliente forces his way into half guard. Calliente is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Calliente stops Um from standing up. Calliente trying to control the position from guard on top but Um is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Calliente might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Calliente missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Calliente accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Um wants to sweep but no luck. Um wants to stand up but Calliente is controlling him. Calliente trying to control but Um is working from the bottom. Calliente stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Um swivels though and keeps the full guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Um lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Calliente! Um can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Calliente is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Um with a couple of short strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Um tries to control but Calliente wriggling away. Calliente has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Um's lack of action.
Um thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Calliente's head. Um has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Um trying to control the action but Calliente is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Um throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Um lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Um is looking to advance position but Calliente won't allow it. Um wants to take a breather but Calliente is having none of it. Calliente tries to roll over but Um keeps him under control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Um sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Calliente defending well though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phal Um dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Calliente fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Calliente misses with a looping right. Phal Um seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Um fails with an attempt to clinch.
Um closes the distance and clinches. Calliente escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Um lands a slapping body shot.
Um looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Um moves into full mount! Calliente won't be happy about that! Um throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Calliente because Um loaded up on that one. Um scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Calliente is squirming around, avoiding Um's attempts to control the action. BOOM! Um connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Um in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Calliente is rocked! Um lands a heavy elbow. Oh Calliente is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Oooooh, big shot lands for Um! Calliente is hurt baaadly! Um is firing away with more strikes - Calliente is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Phal Um!
