The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Levy throws a leg kick which misses McPheters's front leg but catches the back leg as McPheters tries to avoid it.
McPheters keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Levy.
McPheters tries to score a power double leg takedown but Levy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McPheters somewhat.
Levy throws a looping overhand right but McPheters ducks down to avoid it.
Levy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McPheters.
Levy fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but McPheters is out of range.
A jab lands there for Levy.
Horrible takedown by McPheters or perhaps it was just good defense by Levy which made him look bad.
Levy throws a shot from downtown. McPheters moves away and avoids it.

McPheters misses with a takedown attempt - Levy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Levy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McPheters was well out of range. Poor timing from Levy.

McPheters looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Levy is fending him off so far but McPheters persists. Nope, Levy circles away and we're back to standing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Levy lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Levy bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps McPheters's head backwards.

Levy takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

McPheters shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Levy but Levy pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Levy drops McPheters with a straight right hand, right on the button! Levy follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
