The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montoya doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Roman counters with a straight right hand.
Montoya with a poor takedown
and Roman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Montoya misses with a takedown attempt
and Roman counters with a one-two to the body.
Montoya is rocked!
Greco Roman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Austin Montoya.

and Roman counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Montoya tries for a takedown but Roman circles away easily
and Roman makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Montoya looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Roman moves into the clinch successfully.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Roman creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Roman manages to break the clinch.
Austin Montoya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oooooh!!! Roman has knocked Montoya down with a huge combo! Roman steps away and waves a wobbly Montoya back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Montoya is still on wobbly legs! Can Roman finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Roman connects with a stiff jab that staggers Montoya - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
