Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Willie Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bones Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Connor comes to the cage accompanied by Dropkick Murphys-Rocky Road To Dublin. Jones has chosen Gimme back my bullets as his entrance music. Willie Connor could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Bones Jones's chin.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Willie Connor!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
18 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bones Jones!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connor throws a leg kick
and Jones makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Jones chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Connor can pounce on him.
Some bone on bone action there as Jones checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Willie Connor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones drops his hands momentarily and Connor takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Jones scores with a nice body kick.
Connor is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jones fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Connor is out of range.
A bone on bone clash there as Connor blocks the leg kick.
Jones throws a hook to the side of Connor's head but Connor sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Connor misses the shot to the body.
Crunch! Connor slams his shin into Jones's torso.
Connor chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jones can pounce on him.
Jones jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Jones lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Connor at a distance.
Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Connor which made him look bad.
Jones gets a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones works on Connor's body with a couple of short punches.
Jones tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Jones lands on the inside with an uppercut.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Jones.
Jones scores with a nice hook to the head.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Jones creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Jones is working for takedown but Connor is calmly controlling the position for now.
Jones works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Connor looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Jones makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Jones must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Connor swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jones in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Connor is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jones is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Jones wants to pass the guard but Connor is keeping the position.
Jones wants to control from the top but Connor keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Connor is just out of range.
Jones looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Connor takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Connor tries to sprawl but Jones drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Connor is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jones scores with a couple of nice shots.
Jones seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Jones lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Connor is rocked!
Jones is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Connor goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Jones!

A very excited looking Bones Jones made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
